A quiet piece of Cheatham County

Birdsong sits on Highway 49 East, just outside Ashland City. The loudest thing you will hear is the water and the birds.

Inside the main lodge there is a stone fireplace in the family room, a screened front porch for the evenings, and a kitchen with a long table where everyone ends up anyway. Outside there is a stocked pond, a fire pit and an artist house that looks out over the water.

Stay in the lodge, the cottage or the private suite. All three are booked direct with Owen, who owns the place and answers the phone.

Three ways to stay

One property, three separate stays. Pick the one that fits your group and book it direct.

Meet your host

Birdsong is owned and run by Owen Trinkler. When you call 615-330-8713, that is who picks up. There is no front desk, no booking agent and no call center in between.

Owen keeps three separate stays on the property: the original log lodge, a private suite inside it, and the cottage down the way. Guests have left more than 160 reviews across them, and the ratings sit at 9.8 and 9.6 out of 10 on Vrbo.

If you are weighing up which one suits your group, call and ask. It is a two minute conversation and it saves you guessing from photographs.
